The aim of the present study is to observe the diversity of zooplankton of some fresh water bodies viz. Porla, Deloda and Rajghata Lake in district Gadchiroli which is located on the eastern side of Maharashtra and the central part of India. During the present study, zooplankton samples were collected from various ponds in and around Gadchiroli. Qualitative estimation of zooplankton was done under light microscope. In the present investigation, from various ponds, total 67 species of zooplankton were recorded, of which 32 taxa are from Rotifer, 20 taxa are form Cladocera, 10 taxa are from Copepoda, 05 taxa are from Ostracoda. In most of the seasonal studies, it is observed that Rotifers shows dominating zooplankton population followed by Cladocera and Copepoda.
