Description
This dataset contains the result of ecological monitoring a dredging experiment in the Westerschelde more

An alternative dredging strategy was developed for the Westerschelde estuary (southwest Netherlands): sediment was disposed in very shallow water near the eroding tip of an intertidal flat in order to create a more effective ebb-flood distribution, to reduce dredging efforts in the long-term and to improve the habitat. Sediment characterstics, elevation and macrofauna were monitored both in the subtidal and intertidal zone to assess the ecological consequences of the experiment.
